The Studio / The Story
The Origin
This work started late at night when the house was quiet and I was too tired to pretend anymore.
I was doing the work of multiple people with a fraction of the support I thought I'd have. And every time I said I was drowning, someone told me I just needed better time management or a gratitude practice.
The problem wasn't my mindset.
The problem was the math.
So I started making things that told the truth.
Why Folklore
I found the old stories not because I was looking for mythology. I found them because I was looking for someone who had already survived this. And they were everywhere.
None of them manifested their way out. They used what they had, from where they were, and kept going.
Joseph
endured the pit, the prison, and years of waiting before anything got better.
Penelope
wove and unwove, buying time until the situation changed.
Gretel
used breadcrumbs and strategy because hope wasn't enough.
Odysseus
took years to get home and no one called it a character flaw.
Scheherazade
survived by telling one more story.
The Threshold
The stories that have survived thousands of years survived because they told the truth about that walk. They didn't promise the miracle would come quickly. They promised you were not the first.

Who This Is For
Little Dutch Designer exists for the gritty middle. The part where you're still carrying everything. The part where the miracle hasn't shown up yet. The part everyone tells you to gloss over or heal faster from.
I am not here to sell you transformation you're supposed to complete by Q3.
I make art, apparel, tools, and stories that do one thing:
hold the light long enough for you to see what was always there.
Little Dutch Designer, LLC
With thirty years in design and a background that spans technology, psychology, and story, she's spent a career asking the same question from different angles: why do some things reach people, and others just... pass by? These days, the answer she keeps landing on is stories. They're the thing that holds people together when everything else stops making sense.
