Prints released through The Illuminated Archive begin as AI-generated images, created using Midjourney. I then substantially transform those images by hand in Adobe Photoshop: compositing, painting, color grading, texture work, and editorial decisions that change the nature of the original output. The final prints reflect significant human creative labor.
These works are sold and described as mixed-media prints. The AI origin is not hidden, and it is not the whole story.
The writing on this site, in the newsletter, and on the Borrowed Lanterns podcast is my own. The brand, design system, typography, color work, and original Domestically Feral characters are human-made. Stories on the podcast are read from public domain sources, not generated by AI.
